Yayoi Kusama (Matsumoto, Japan, 1929) had a few solo exhibitions in Holland between 1965 and 1970, and she participated in many group shows. On the 2nd of December, 1967, she gained nation-wide recognition with her painting of a naked Jan Schoonhoven, decorating the artist’s body with lots of colourful dots.
