Günter Brus (1938-2024) was primarily known as a “Wiener Aktionist”. From the early 60s he performed taboo-breaking actions with Otto Muehl, Hermann Nitsch and Rudolf Schwartzkogler. In later years he became known for being a graphic artist and writer. His ‘Bild-Dichtungen’ were shown, among other places, at the ‘documenta 7’ (1982) in Kassel. Galerie A presented his work in 1977, 1982 and 1985.
