Philip Corner

Philip Corner (1933), who studied Musical Philosophy with Oliver Messiaen in Paris (1955-57), has been deeply affected by the culture of Korea, where he served in the U.S. Army. Some of his major works, including a series employing Korean-derived calligraphic notations, have been published in The Four Suits (The Something Else Press, 1965).
Corner wrote music for the Judson Dance Theater and was involved with Fluxus activities from the beginning.
Philip Corner lives and works in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
