Paul Jeffrey Sharits (February 7, 1943, Denver, Colorado—July 8, 1993, Buffalo, New York) was a visual artist. He is best known for his work in experimental filmmaking.

Paul Sharits is among the most important filmmakers of the second half of the last century. Sharits was also involved with Fluxus; in 1977 he performed his Unrolling Screen Film in Galerie A, Amsterdam.
In 2017 PAUL SHARITS. Letters to ‘A’ (1975-1993) was published: an archive box with polyester album pages containing more than 150 documents.
