Hans-Peter Feldmann (1941) is a conceptual artist who became known for his hand made and self-published picture books on everyday objects and situations. He started publishing these ‘Bilder Books’ in 1968, featuring topics such as planes, soccer players, shoes, and clouds.
From 1975 until 2015 Feldmann and his wife ran a store in Düsseldorf, where you could find ‘rare’ items, such as vintage toys, antiques, paintings, old cameras, et cetera. His Feldmann Verlags shop offered ‘everyday’ objects in boxes.
An overview of Feldmanns work can be found in Hans-Peter Feldmann / Das Museum im Kopf (Walther König, Cologne, 1989).
