Boris Lurie (1924-2008) founded the NO!art movement in 1960, together with Sam Goodman and Stanley Fisher. They took a stand against the ‘worldwhite capitalist “investment” art market’, and promoted a ‘totally unabashed self-expression leading to social action’.
